World leading companies exhibit at Karamay
The China (Karamay) International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment Exhibition(CIPPE) opened on Aug 31 in Karamay.
"Many globally known companies such as Halliburton and SAACKE, can be found at this year's exhibition. This is so exciting and out of my expectation," said Zhang Zhendong, sales manager of the China division of the American Diamond Chain Company.
East of the main exhibition center were 55 world-famous companies, including 15 are the world's top 500. Apart from companies that specialize in engineering technology such as Schlumberger, Halliburton and SAAACKE, there were also leaders in other fields such as Shell, INGERSOLL RAND, Cummins, and Caterpillar.
These companies considered the exhibition an opportunity to publicize themselves and enhance their profile, and also to exchange with their peers in the same industry.
Schlumberger has attended the exhibition three times and brought its latest technology and products.
"Karamay is one of Schlumberger's seven biggest operation bases in China. This year marks the 30 year in Karamay. For us, the exhibition is not only an opportunity to show our technology but also show our common development with Karamay," said Qian Haiyan, general manager of Schlumberger’s marketing department.
"China is one of the most important markets in the world, but our main focus used to be overseas. We hope this year's exhibition can help us expand our share in the Chinese market, " said Yang Lin,an investment consultant at NAT.
With the participation of more world level companies, this year's exhibition is better well-known in the international arena and can promote Karamay's heavy industry.
Companies outside the petrochemical industry also took part.
"Companies such as SANY and Foton has explored successful development through fiece market competition. We can learn from their experience in our transformation and industrial upgrade, " said Qian Minghua, vice mayor of Karamay.
